Lesson In Progress Sign (with link to free printable!)

Do you want to be sure your students know it’s ok to come in for their lessons? Do students or parents ever interrupt lessons? Well, today I have a free printable over in the Fischarper Teachers Pay Teachers store to help you with this dilemma.
It’s a reversible sign to let students, parents, etc. know if you’re in a lesson and shouldn’t be disturbed, or if you’re practicing while waiting for the next student. If you print it in color, it even has partially green text on the side that says it’s ok to come in and partially red text on the side that says not to interrupt the lesson. Additional visual cues to help it become recognizable…and helpful for pre-reading students!

All you do is:

  1. Download the printable “Lesson in Progress” PDF (you do need a TpT account, but the account and this download are free….you can find other free resources on the site too….like this Note of the Week printable).
  2. Print the PDF and fold it in half.
  3. Optionally, you can laminate the sign or cut the sign in half and cut down one of these old photo pages for durability. I also added new holes so I can fit it in my mini notebook.
  4. Hang up your reversible sign. You can hang it from a hook, magnetic clip, sticky putty, etc.
  5. Don’t forget to flip it around when you switch from practice to lesson or vice versa.

If you use this, be sure to take a pic and tag me on social media and/or use #Fischarper.
