Fischarper pizza box report

Pizza Box Report

Have your student make a report out of a pizza box! Yes, you read that right, a pizza box! Of course, you can substitute something else for the pizza box too.

The student researches a musician and attaches that information to the inside of the box, making a presentation. It’s great if the student writes the information out him/herself, not only ensuring that the student doesn’t just cut and paste without reading it, but also to help the student internalize the information (and practice handwriting, spelling, fine motor skills, etc.).

The student can have different amounts of control in this project. You can assign the musician to study, give the student a list to choose from, allow the student to choose any musician, etc. If you choose to assign a list you could make lists in different ways: time period, personal favorites, instrument, country, etc. This is also a nice opportunity for parents to be involved.

The inspiration for this project came from here, which gives a cool way to present with a hole for the student to put his or her face in, so the student kind of “becomes” that person.

If you do this, be sure to share the results!
