Piano-Sleeve Shirt DIY

Take a plain long-sleeved tee & give it some musical pizazz! Keep reading to find out how.
SUPPLIES
long-sleeved shirt
contrasting fabric
thread (one to match the shirt & an optional color to match the fabric)
needle
straight pins
scissors
 nail/small scissors (optional)
this keyboard pattern
Turn the shirt inside out & lay the sleeve flat.

Lay the contrasting fabric where you want the keyboard to be, right side down.

After cutting out the keyboard pattern, pin it to the shirt sleeve. Make sure to only pin through one layer of the sleeve.

Stitch around the outline of the keyboard template. If you’re using thread that matches the fabric insert (in my example yellow), use this.

Remove the pins & paper template.

Turn the sleeve right side out.
Cut inside where you sewed, making a keyboard shape.

Add lines to separate the “white keys” with thread that matches your shirt.

Enjoy wearing your new keyboard shirt!
If you make this shirt, I’d love to see it on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below!
